Timothy Harris, 21, and Cuong Mang, 19, both of Cleveland, have been arrested for a home invasion at 8420 Troubadour Way on Jan. 10.
The two suspects were charged with aggravated burglary, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, theft over $1,000 and attempted aggravated burglary. They were transported to the Hamilton County Jail for processing.
The incident was reported to the Sheriff's Department in the early morning hours on Jan. 10 at which time the victims said that two men broke the front door of the residence to gain entry.
The women said they were watching TV when they heard several loud knocks on the front door. One of the women looked out a window and saw one of the men on the front porch.
As the two women ran downstairs, they heard the front door being kicked in. The women secured themselves in a downstairs bathroom after the pair entered the residence. While the suspects were moving around in the upstairs area of the house, the women were able to exit the house through a garage door.
A neighbor saw two men running from the residence and told deputies that they appeared to have a shotgun in their possession.
Investigators received information from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office on the possible identification of both suspects. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office investigators working together with Bradley County developed leads that resulted in the interview of both men.
During the interview it was found that along with the first reported home invasion, they also attempted to burglarize the same residence again on Wednesday, authorities said.
Authorities said Harris said they parked at a church near the residence, knocked on the door several times, then kicked it in.
He said they were both wearing masks and gloves. He said Mang had a weapon.
At his residence, Harris showed officers two memory sticks and a check taken from the Ooltewah home.
Mang lives at 302 Bartlett Circle in Cleveland. Harris lives at 2255 Teakwood Trail in Cleveland.
Both men at one time were outstanding wrestlers for the Bradley Central High School squad.
