A federal grand jury in Chattanooga has returned a two-count indictment charging Jonathan Allen, 24, of Reston, Va., and Terence Crawley, 27, of Clinton, Md., with bank robbery and brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence in connection with the robbery of the Citizen’s Tri-County Bank in South Pittsburg on Jan. 4.
If convicted, each defendant will face a term of imprisonment of up to 25 years on the robbery charge and an additional prison term of seven years or more on the firearms charge, authorities said.
The indictment is the result of an investigation by the FBI, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Virginia State Police, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the South Pittsburg Police Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Mel Andrew Schwing will represent the government.
