James Edward Kirby, 48, of Summerville, Ga., died on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010.
He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Paulette McClaney Kirby.
Survivors are his daughter, Latasha Kirby; son, Codie Kirby of Rome, Ga.; father, James Kirby, Jr.; mother, Mrs. Freddie Mae Kirby of Summerville; two sisters, Cynthia (Brannon) Kirby of Rome, Ga. and LaTonya Wilburn of Stone Mountain, Ga.; three brothers, Walter (Tina) Kirby, Michael Kirby and Ricky Farmer all of Summerville; aunts and uncles, Gene (Nancy) Kirby, Roger (Barbara) Kirby, George (Jean) Kirby, Bobby (Jessie) Bankston Ted (Janice) Perry and Bubba (Charlotte) Southern; nieces, Aaliyah Smith and Azariah Smith; nephew, Walter Kirby; and many other cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 1 p.m. at Oak Hill Baptist Church with pastor George Beavers and other ministers officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
