The Tennessee Office of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense organization, saluted Erlanger Health System for its outstanding support of employees who are members of the National Guard and Reserve during a brief ceremony on Veterans Day.

As a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, Sgt. 1st Class Terry W. Ellis Jr., RRT, Erlanger Respiratory Care Clinical Coordinator, nominated Erlanger for the award.

“My last deployment ended in February 2006, but Erlanger continues to support my monthly Reserve requirements of one weekend each month, and the additional two to three weeks each year that I am away from my job as I train with the U.S. Army Reserve,” Mr. Ellis said.

Chattanooga military veterans Donald A. Gorman, Jr., and Scott O’Steen, who devote their time as volunteers to the ESGR, presented the awards to Erlanger’s Charlesetta Woodard-Thompson, chief operations officer; Blaine Morris, vice president, Clinical Services; and Lisa Caldwell, Director of Respiratory Care; for their continuing support of employees in the National Guard and Reserve.
