Louis James Steele, 86, of East Ridge, died on Friday, February 5, 2010.

Mr. Steele was born in New Orleans to Howard and Rita Steele. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a WWII US Air Force veteran serving in the 388th Bomber Command as a B17 Radio Operator. He settled in Chattanooga in the late 1950's were he was employed as an investigator for Provident Insurance. He retired from there in 1982 after 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Martha Jo Steele; his parents; two sons, Louis J. Steele Jr. and Jeffery Kevin Steele; and sister, RitaMae Moreland.

Survivors include his son, Jon C. Steele and his wife, Cecilia Keefer of Chattanooga; daughter, Julie Ann Steele of San Ramon, Ca.; and brother, Howard Steele and his wife, Mariam, of Oklahoma City, Ok.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Drive, Suite 8, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421, www.ALZ.ORG/ALTN.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at OLPH Catholic Church with Father Mike Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Gertrude Anderson, brother, Linn Anderson, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Kinser, Waldo Oran (Chatsworth)

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife
