In a conversation with my cousin, she was complaining of the Electric Power Board bill she received in January.
The bill was $132.?? (some odd cents).
No one lived in her mother's house after she passed away, and, because of injuries, she has not been able to return to the house to clear it out. The power is on so that when she is able to continue the clean out, she will have the lights when needed. No other power is needed at the house only the lights, and she has been paying $14.00 a month for this.
When she called and stated there had to be a mistake, they called later and said the meter was re-read and was correct? How can this be when there is nothing in the house that is running electric. No stove, heater, refrigerator, etc. Something fishy always occurs in January. The power board says it is correct; can any else explain the true reason?
