Sybil Beggs Harmon, 83, of Hixson, died on Sunday, February 7, 2010.

She was born in Gadsden, Al., on October 24, 1926, to the late Gaston R. and Naomi Roebuck Beggs. Sybil came to Chattanooga in 1952, when she married Wayne Hoskins and was a former employee with American National Bank. In 1972 she married Gene Harmon and worked with him at Riverview Pharmacy until her retirement in 1994.

Sybil was a member of Berean Baptist Church.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by both her husbands, a brother, Harold Beggs and a sister, Wilma Myrick.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janet and Joan Hoskins; stepdaughters, Janie Basham and Geney Watson; stepsons, Gary and Burke Harmon; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Cecil Beggs; a sister, Lucille McCormick; brothers-in-law, Thomas Harmon and Ed Hoskins; sisters-in-law, Louise Harmon and Annette Hall; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express thanks to Dr. Steven Dowlen, Dr. Michael Stipanov, Dr. Brain Kalla and Dr. John Gwin for their years of compassionate care, as well as the staff of Memorial Hospital 5th floor, Life Care Center of Red Bank and Kindred Hospital.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, and 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the North Chapel.

Services for Sybil will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the North Chapel with Rev. Glen Huguenin officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sybil’s name to Berean Baptist Church, 441 Berean Lane, Hixson, Tn. 37343.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.

Garrett, Nancy Martin

Nancy Martin Garrett, 73, died on February 9, 2012.   Survivors include her daughter, Felicia Harrisonl; sons, Anthony, Jeff and Larry; siblings, Edward Martin and Shirley Martin; other relatives and friends.   Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, in the funeral home chapel. Albert C. Kiser, 102, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, surrounded by family.   He was born on Dec. 27, 1909, in Somerset, Ky. to the late Albert and Ethel Kiser.   He retired from TVA after 35 years, was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church for 63 years and member of the Fellowship Class. Kinser, Waldo Oran (Chatsworth)

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again
