Sibyl Mae Jackson, 92, of Rossville, was born to Earl and Myrtie Todd on June 25, 1917. She died on Sunday, February 7, 2010.
She had been one of God’s children for 66 years. Mrs. Sibyl cherished her family and many friends, working in her flower garden, and reading her tattered bible. She was an active member of the Shields Baptist Church in Chickamauga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, J.R. Jackson; son, Guy D. Jackson; two grandsons; one granddaughter; two brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Charlotte Jackson of Rising Fawn, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Marion Stanley of Townsend, Tn.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a funeral service to celebrate her homegoing on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 3:30 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Bill Proctor and Reverend Roy Gross officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 6-9 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
