Dorothy M. Maddux, 101, died on Monday, February 8, 2010.

Dorothy was born on August 16, 1908 in Dayton, Tn.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Ross R. Maddux, and her infant son, Conard Ross Maddux.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte M. Frost; son-in-law, Jack L. Frost; grandson, Steven L. Frost (Lisa); granddaughter, Susan F. Bishop (Mike); great-granddaughter, Amy F. Haddock (John); great-grandsons, Jonathan D. Frost (Lindsey), David M. Bishop, William J. Bishop, Benjamin R. Bishop; great-great-grandchildren, Charlotte Ann Haddock, Eli Haddock, Laney Frost, and Sally Frost.

Dorothy was the oldest living member of the White Oak Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years. She was a faithful member serving her church and community until her declining health prevented her from doing so.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at White Oak Baptist Church with Dr. John Franklin and Dr. Tony Wilson officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.

Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
