Parkridge Medical Center has joined in community relief efforts for Haiti, donating medical supplies for a six-day mission trip that is leaving Monday for the earthquake-ravaged nation.

Julia Flanagan, a licensed professional counselor with Plaza Counseling Associates, approached the hospital last week on behalf of the nine-person mission team with whom she is traveling to Haiti on Monday.

“I am so appreciative of Parkridge administration and director of Pharmacy Frank Bradford for coordinating this donation so quickly,” said Ms. Flanagan. “We expect to see around 100 patients a day, so these supplies will certainly be put to good use. I thank the hospital on behalf of the Haitians and our team.”

Ms. Flanagan is one of many medical and behavioral health professionals from around the United States that are traveling to Haiti as part of the Presbyterian Church in America’s Mission to the World Disaster Response Ministry.

“Parkridge Medical Center is happy to provide this support for the ongoing relief efforts in Haiti,” said President and CEO Darrell Moore. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Haitian people as they continue to deal with the impact of the earthquake and the devastation of their country.”

Parkridge Medical Center’s parent company, HCA, announced on Jan. 15 that it established The HCA Haiti Relief Fund, which matches employee contributions and provides in-kind donations for a $1 million total contribution to relief efforts. For more information, visit HCAHealthcare.com.

We Are Blessed To Have Ron Littlefield As Our Mayor - And Response (2)

Chattanooga is blessed beyond measure to have Ron Littlefield as our mayor.  It is a total travesty our city has had to endure the long frivolous battle with absolutely  no foundation other than disagreement with policy issues.  It has always been a vendetta directed personally at Mayor Littlefield which, if the "interveners" decide to appeal, will be a proven fact.   ...
