Helen Ruth Brindle, 85, of Dalton, Ga., died on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at the Ridgewood Manor Health Care in Dalton.

She was born Dec. 3, 1924 in Fannin County, Ga., a daughter of the Robert and Eula Davenport Williams; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Buck Brindle; sisters, Bonnie Amonett and Anna W. King; and a son-in-law, Sam Culver.

Mrs. Brindle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all. She was a member of the City View Church of God.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Mary Brindle, Bobby and Brenda Brindle, Ronnie and Vicky Brindle and Wayne Brindle; daughters and sons-in-law Patricia and Harvey Patterson, Sue and Gary Perkins, Connie Culver, Wynette and Gary Fuquea, Jan and Dwight McElrath, Frances Cook and Martha Hall; sisters, Kathleen Hasty, Grace and Greer Martin and Doris Green; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Helen Ruth Brindle will be held Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Gerald Foster and Reverend Nathan Case officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in the United Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake, Tyler, Lee and Michael McElrath, Cody White, Mike McGgette and Terry Brindle.

The family will receive friends at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

The family would like to thanks to the nurses and staff of Ridgewood Manor Heath Care Center.

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife
