F.L. "Pete" Cooper, 82, of Dalton, Ga., died on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Ms. Mae Pearl Cooper, and Mrs. Lillian D. Lynn Mayberry; and one son, Mr. Otis C.L. Cooper.
He was retired from Dalton Public Schools.
Survivors are his wife, Nellie Mae Cooper; sons, Roger Lee Cooper of LaFayette, Ind., Kenneth (Natalie) Cooper of Chattanooga; daughters, Dr. Mattie Bell (Bishop James) O’Neal of Kokomo, Ind., Dorothy Ann Moore and Diane (Charles) Bonds of Dalton; one brother, Eugene Cooper of Fla.; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mattie McDade and Mrs. Della Weaver of Dalton; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Family will celebrate the life of Mr. Pete Cooper on Friday, Feb.12, at 2 p.m. from True Gospel Pentecostal Church with Suff. Bishop Reuben Graham officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 11 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Funeral home. Interment will take place in Center Valley Cemetery.
