Dennie “Pappy” Townson, 69, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at his home.

He attended Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

Dennie has been retired for 20 years after working in the moving industry for more than 30 years. During that time he owned and operated D&M and American Moving & Storage in Chattanooga.

Dennie and his wife would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in September of this year.

He was preceded in death by his father, Audie Townson, mother, Nora Townson and brother, James Townson.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Townson; two sons, Mike (Joyce) Townson of Bryant, Al., and Jeff (Susan) Townson of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Zack Townson, Matthew Townson, Amber Renner and Christopher Adams; brothers, Luther (Billie) Townson of Ider, Al., Ed (Carolyn) Townson of Chattanooga, Bill (Mary) Townson of Sylvania, Al.; sister, Joyce (W.C.) Buttram of Sylvania, Al.; sister-in-law, Claudine Townson of Ider, Al.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Hulsey and the Rev. Kent Wilburn officiating.

Pallbearers will be Phil Townson, Steve Townson, David Townson, Heath Townson, Christopher Adams and Gerald Palmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Townson and Matthew Townson.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, West.

The family will receive friends from 1-8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday and from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Kinser, Waldo Oran (Chatsworth)

Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife
