Wayne Sapp, 66, of Pikeville, died on Saturday, March 6, 2010 after a long battle with lung cancer.
Wayne was a devoted companion, father, brother, and friend. He always had a smile on his face and he never complained. Wayne was a truck driver and will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
Wayne was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jamie Sapp; brothers, HC Sapp and Glenn Sapp; sister, Margaret “Meg” Blomberg; and his parents, Bob and Rosa Mae Sapp.
He is survived by his loving companion, Linda Anderson Sapp; sons, Biff (Rainy) Sapp, Pikeville and Wayne “Butch” Sapp of Mich.; daughter, Kimberley (Rod) Van Antwerp, Mich.; step-son, Todd (Heather) Ritchie, Mich.; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Sapp, Billy Joe (Carolyn) Sapp, and Dwight (Linda) Sapp all of Pikeville; sisters, Mary (Roy) Burgess of Pikeville, Martha Sue (Lowell) Soderstrom, Sparta, Tn., Trudy (Dale) Hale, Dayton and Eva Jane (Hoover) Gilbert, Dalton; brother-in-law, Jim Blomberg, Dayton; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the Shady Vale Church of God on Saturday March 13, at 2 p.m. CST with Bro. Donnie Lawson and Bro. Clayton Evans officiating.
