Lily Irene Patterson, 95, of Chattanooga, died on March 10, 2010 following a brief illness.

Irene was born August 3, 1914 in Fayetteville, Tn., the eldest of five siblings.

She was a wonderful sister and loving aunt who will be remembered by those she leaves behind for her radiant smile, her positive attitude, and her strong Christian faith. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Woodmore before joining Brainerd Baptist Church 20 years ago.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W. L. Patterson Sr. and Hattie Mae Hall Patterson, her sisters, Geneva Patterson Stonecipher and Daryl Patterson Norris, and her brother, Leon Patterson.

She is survived by her brother, W.L. Patterson Jr. (Maxine) of Huntsville, her sister-in-law, Evelyn Patterson of Nashville; two nieces, Donna Norris Haddock (Lynn) of Chattanooga and Darlene Patterson Davis (Steve) of Huntsville; two nephews, Ken Roy (Cheryl) of Springfield and Dan A. Norris II of Atlanta; and several beloved great- and great-great- nieces and nephews.

Over the past eight years, Irene has been blessed with many friends and loving caregivers at NHC of Chattanooga, and her family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the outstanding team there, especially to Mrs. Jamesetta Sexton and Ms. Rachel Simmons, two very special ladies whose loving care has far exceeded the call of duty for many years.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 12, at Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery, 2013 Greenwood Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37406.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37416.

Eleanor Ritchey, 86, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Monday, February 13, 2012, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Gertrude Anderson, brother, Linn Anderson, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again
