The Home Builders Association is offering the Certified Renovator course on March 26 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Home Builders Association.
Beginning on April 22 the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires firms doing remodeling or renovation projects disturbing more than six square feet of potentially contaminated painted surfaces for all homes, child care facilities, and schools built prior to 1978 to be certified. Along with the firm certification, an employee will also need to be certified as a Certified Renovator.
The training curriculum is an eight-hour class with six hours of training and two hours of hands-on training.
The cost of the course is $225. To make reservations, call 624-9992.
