Lee Leads McMinn Central To Class AA State Quarterfinal Win

McMinn Central's Madison Lee scored 30 points Thursday afternoon in the Chargerettes 65-53 Class AA state quarterfinal win over Greeneville.

Lee hit 15 of 16 free throws and finished with six steals and four assists.

McMinn Central extended an early lead to 17-10 by the end of the first period.

They led by as many as 10 in the second quarter but finished the first half with a 29-22 lead.

With three minutes into the third quarter, a layup by Lee gave the Chargerettes a 15 point lead at 39-24.

Greeneville would cut the lead to eight in the fourth but Lee hit 10 of 10 free throws in the final two minutes to help her team to the quarterfinal win.

McMinn Central will play Westview Friday afternoon at 3:30 EST.

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife
