2010 Moc Football Season Tickets Go On Sale Monday

Friday, March 12, 2010

Season tickets for the upcoming 2010 UTC home football schedule go on sale Monday.

Mocs fans can purchase tickets online beginning at 8 a.m. on GoMocs.com.

Fans will be able to purchase season tickets in person, or over the phone, at the UTC Ticket Office beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday. The UTC Ticket Office is located in the McKenzie Arena (720 4th St.) and the phone number for ordering tickets is 423 266-MOCS (6627).

After a record-breaking year in 2009, the 2010 home slate is one of the most anticipated seasons in Chattanooga football history.

Head coach Russ Huesman is looking to improve on the team’s 6-5 mark from last season and continue one of the biggest turnarounds in college football.

UTC beefed up its five-game home schedule that starts with a season-opening battle against defending SoCon Champion Appalachian State on Saturday, Sept. 4. The Mocs will kick-off another season of “Restore the Glory” when the Mountaineers visit Finley Stadium.

The Mocs are also home on Sept. 18 for a 6 p.m. kick-off against Eastern Kentucky. The 2010 Homecoming game is set for Oct. 16 against Georgia Southern at 6 p.m. Chattanooga also faces Elon at home on Oct. 30 with a 2 p.m. kick-off. Senior Day is Nov. 13 against Samford at 2 p.m.

Season tickets start at $25 for youth, UTC employees and UTC Alumni. Season ticket prices for the general public begin at $49. Fans will save up to 12% off the single-game price when purchasing season tickets. See below for a complete pricing list.

Fans who purchase or renew their season tickets before May 1, 2010, will receive an Early Bird Special that is good for 10% off the regular season ticket price. Renewal invoices for the 2010 season will be mailed out on March 15 to the 2009 season ticket holders.

Fans who filled out the reservations forms online or at one of the Mocs’ offseason events will be contacted by the UTC Athletics Department next week about purchasing season tickets.

Current season ticket holders will have their seats reserved for renewal until May 14. Single-game tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Aug. 19, just over two weeks before the home opener.

Thoughts On The Mathews Sentencing

It is not by coincidence I haven’t submitted an opinion piece in some time to the Chattanoogan.  The topics I cover are generally vitriolic in regards to local political decisions and their makers regarding public safety and I do not wish to associate my name with more noble subjects such as that of the heroic death and cowardly murder of Chattanooga Police Sergeant Tim Chapin, ... A Good School Takes Involvement - And Response

As I have read the articles concerning Normal Park School I can’t keep from thinking when our children started to school in the 1960‘s. The two elementary schools in the city that were considered tops were Barger and Woodmore. We did not live in the zone for either school so we looked for a house to buy that was zoned for Woodmore.   We found ... (click for more)
