Della Lee Williams Defore, 83, of Rocky Face, Ga., died on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Regency Park Health Care Center.

Mrs. Defore was born July 9, 1926 in Dalton, Ga., a daughter of the late Robert Williams Sr. and Willie McGinnis Williams; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Otis Robert Defore; sons, Calvin Lee Defore and Jimmy Wayne Defore; brothers, Pete Williams, Reverend Luther J. Williams, Joe Williams and James Williams; sisters, Annis Williams, Alma Moore, Betty Stanley and Freddie Wells.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Defore of Dalton, Kathy and Johnny Brooks, Sandra and Mike Hough of Rocky Face; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Timothy and Gayle Defore of Tunnel Hill; daughter-in-law, Joliene Defore of Rocky Face; grandsons, Danny Defore, Matthew Brooks, Casey Brooks, Josh Defore and Russell Defore; granddaughters, April Hough, Lisa Pickett, Susan Miller, Ginger Kerbaugh and Pam Daniels; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Jr. and Jessie Williams and George and Carol Williams of Dalton; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth and Floyd Rich and Lula Mae Arnold of Dalton; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Phyllis Williams, Charles and Katherine Defore of Rocky Face; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and special friend and roommate, Leola Rodgers.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Della Lee Williams Defore will be held Sunday, March 14, at 3 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Deems and Reverend Lillard Stringer officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Dunnagan Cemetery with Casey Brooks, Matthew Brooks, Russell Defore, Danny Defore, Gary Arnold, David Arnold, and Nick Neal serving as pallbearers.
