Chattanooga Police have finally located the person hit by a train in Hixson on Friday night.
It was a 13-year-old boy, who was not seriously hurt.
Police and members of Hamilton County STARS had searched Friday night and Saturday morning without success after Norfolk Southern personnel reported that someone had been hit by the train.
Police have interviewed the young victim, who said he was struck by the train on Hamill Road Friday night.
The victim’s mother called police on Saturday to advise that her son told her that he had been hit by a train the night before and had lost his hat during the incident.
The boy said he was walking on the tracks with a friend when he was struck by the train.
He did not suffer from any visible injuries.
