Student Art Exhibit With Over 1,000 Works Is March 26-27

The Northwest Georgia Arts Guild will present Artrageous Antics: Look, Listen, and Learn March 26-27 at the Walker County Civic Center.

This is a student art exhibition featuring works from Walker County elementary, middle, and high schools, Chickamauga city schools, Oakwood Christian Academy, and homeschoolers in the North Georgia area.

To showcase Youth Art Month, over 1,000 pieces of student art will be displayed.

In addition to the student works, there will be “make and take” project stations, artist demonstrations, musical performances and lots of ways to inspire creativity. All activities over this two-day event are free for everyone.

The show will open on Friday, March 26, at 6 p.m. with a high school reception followed by a musical performance featuring The Victory Lap Kids, with 3rd Degree, and Vic Burgess. Doors will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, with demonstrations and activities, including student performances lasting until 5 p.m.

Door prizes will be given every hour.

ACT-SO Orientation Is Saturday

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again

The four remaining members of the Red Bank Commission held a special called meeting on Tuesday and chose Kenneth Welch as the replacement for Vice Mayor Greg Jones, who moved to Alaska. Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
