A 30-year-old Ooltewah woman has been charged with having sex with a 16-year-old.

Heather Dawn Mastin Kimsey, of 7014 Siler Road, was arrested for aggravated statutory rape.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was notified last Wednesday of a possible sexual assault involving the teen and Ms. Kimsey.

A family member of the victim notified law enforcement, who in turn initiated a criminal investigation into the reported sexual assault.

During the course of the investigation, detectives were able to confirm the complaint, the sheriff's office said.

It was found that the contact between Ms. Kimsey and the boy started in February and escalated into a sexual relationship, authorities said.

Ms. Kimsey was arrested on Friday and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt. Chapin would have wanted.  He was a protector and sacrificed his life so the rest of ... (click for more)
