Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries Offers Free Income Tax Preparation For Seniors

As a service to Chattanooga area seniors, Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries, AARP and VITA are providing free income tax preparation services free of charge at two locations:

Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors at 1000 Newby Street (corner of 10th and Houston streets) in downtown Chattanooga on Wednesdays and Thursdays, through April 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call 423 755-6100 for an appointment. AARP volunteers will provide the tax preparation services.

Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors Soddy Daisy Community Center at 190 Depot Street in Soddy Daisy, on Tuesdays, through April 15 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. Please call 423 332-1702 for an appointment. VITA (a free tax service funded through the IRS) provides the tax preparation services.

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again

The four remaining members of the Red Bank Commission held a special called meeting on Tuesday and chose Kenneth Welch as the replacement for Vice Mayor Greg Jones, who moved to Alaska. Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
