This week’s Crime Stoppers feature is a burglary that occurred in February at a local market.
The incident occurred between 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 and 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 5 at the Sunset Market at 541 Browns Ferry Road, while the market was closed for the night.
According to the surveillance recording, an unknown white male threw a rock through the front window of the market to enter the store. As he entered through the broken window, he cut himself and left a trail of blood throughout the store.
The suspect jumped the counter to grab several cartons of cigarettes and exited through the window. He was seen disappearing into the shadows on foot across Browns Ferry Road.
The items stolen are valued at approximately $600 and the damages are in excess of $700.
