Ajahn Chintana Preechajarn, visiting scholar from Bangkok Christian College in Thailand, spent nine weeks of the spring 2010 semester “enjoying the wonders of Lee University.” Ms. Preechajarn was the house guest of Dr. Jo Ann Higginbotham, professor of Education, and her husband Andy.
Ms. Preechajarn received her M.Div degree from Bethel Bible Seminary in Bangkok, Thailand and is currently the director of Religious Affairs at Bangkok Christian College, a private school for Thai boys grades one through twelve.
While at Lee, Ms. Preechajarn attended classes in Christian education, integration of faith and learning, counseling and educational leadership. She was also the guest lecturer in the Thai language and culture class and tutored a student in Thai.
She enjoyed the Presidential Concert Series as well as other campus events and activities during her stay.
Ms. Preechajarn is the second visiting Thai scholar from BCC. She noted that “even though the first Thai scholar, Ajahn Watcharaphong told me about the wonders of Lee University, I had to experience it myself to understand what he meant. My interaction with the students and faculty here is something I will treasure for a lifetime.”
