WW II Veteran Was Longtime County School Bus Driver

Clyde Franklin Housley, 85, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He retired from Hamilton County Department of Education in 1994 as a school bus driver. Throughout his career as a bus driver, Clyde received many awards and commendations and was inducted into Red Bank High School Hall of Fame in March of 2001.

Clyde was a WWII Army veteran. He attended Red Bank Baptist Church.

Clyde was the son of the late W.L. Housley and Melissa Morgan.

Survivors include his wife, Daisy Housley; daughter, Judy (Gary) Franks of Chattanooga; son, Sonny (Margaret) Housley of Ooltewah; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga, especially Dr. Duncan, Jill, Debbie, Rachael and Missy.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, at Red Bank Baptist Church with Pastors Brian Johnson and Dr. Fred Steelman officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Friday, March 19, and 12-2 p.m. on Saturday at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Gertrude Anderson, brother, Linn Anderson, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again
