Bobbie McDowell Skillington Lewis, 74, of Soddy Daisy, died on Monday, March 15, 2010, at a local hospital.

She was a graduate of Chattanooga City High School and a member of Mowbray Baptist Church. She loved gardening and playing her piano. She was retired from Brown Agency.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill E. Skillington and Carlos Lewis; sisters, Betty McDowell and Diane McDowell; brother, James McDowell.

She is survived by her son, Carlos Matthew (April) Lewis, of Soddy Daisy; daughter, Teena (John) Brown, of Signal Mountain; brother, Melvin McDowell, of Chattanooga; sisters, Linda Williams, Cynthia Pearson, Martha Carter, all of Chattanooga, Freda Ward, of California; grandchildren, Brittany Brown, Ian Brown, Elizabeth Minor, Zoe Lewis.

The memorial service will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gary Phillips officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Albert C. Kiser, 102, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, surrounded by family.   He was born on Dec. 27, 1909, in Somerset, Ky. to the late Albert and Ethel Kiser.   He retired from TVA after 35 years, was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church for 63 years and member of the Fellowship Class. Waldo Oran Kinser, 58, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his residence. Waldo was born May 12, 1953 in Ellijay, Ga., a son of the late Wilbur Oran and Texxie Dotson Kinser; and was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Kinser; and sister, Debbie Kinser. Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again

The four remaining members of the Red Bank Commission held a special called meeting on Tuesday and chose Kenneth Welch as the replacement for Vice Mayor Greg Jones, who moved to Alaska.
