Paul Alfred Miracle, 73, of Dayton, died on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at his home.
Paul was born in Pineville, Ky. on July 11, 1936 the son of the late Alfred and Mabel (Peace) Miracle. Paul served his country with the US Marine Corps and was a graduate of Bryan College and Duke University Graduate School. He pastored churches in Rockwood, Cleveland, Niota, Baileyton and most recently New Bethel United Methodist Church in Dayton and the Graysville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn (Fuson) Miracle of Dayton; two daughters, Rebecca (Jackie) Doss of Dayton and Susan (Chuck) Dye of Dawsonville, Ga.; two sons, Adrian (Sheila) Miracle of Cleveland and Jonathan (Angela) Miracle of Athens; two brothers, Hamp (Norma) Miracle of Hopkinsville, Ky. and Jerry (Leatha) Miracle of Pineville, Ky.; his sister, Cheryl Young of Pineville, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services for Rev. Miracle will be held Saturday, March 20 at noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ogle Wattenbarger, Rev. Bill Ewing and Mr. Jackie Doss officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens with military honors followed by a white dove release.
The family will receive friends at the Vanderwall Funeral Home on Friday, March 19 from 5-8 p.m.
