Bryan Scott Plumley, 46, of Adairsville, Ga., died on Wednesday evening, March 17, 2010 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Scott was born July 14, 1963 in Marietta, Ga. He was a 1981 graduate of Dalton High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello, Ark. He was the owner of Jesco Inc., a industrial supply company. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and trout fish in the Blue Ridge Mountains. He started lifting weights at the age of thirteen and was a body builder up until the time of his passing. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs, motorcycles, and was always fascinated with Native American Indians. But most of all Scott was a devout Christian who loved his family very much. He was a Baptist by faith and was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Dalton.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John T. and Mary Jessee and Kiser O. and Mattie Plumley; and his mother-in-law, Lisa Marie Brooks.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Marie Plumley of the residence; son, Dakota Scott Plumley; daughter, Jessie Leigh Plumley both of Marietta, Ga.; parents, Gene and Lynn Plumley of Rossville; brother and sister-in-law, David and Angie Plumley of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Trisha and Randy Wilson of Rossville; father-in-law, Robert Neil and Ramona Turner; several nieces, nephews, one great-niece, aunts, uncles and many, many cousins.
Services to celebrate the life of Bryan Scott Plumley will be held Saturday, March 20, at 2 p.m. from the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Matt Hall officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Turniptown Baptist Church Cemetery in Gilmer County, Ga. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be David Dorsey, Dax Martin, David Plumley, Hector Rosales, Zach Plumley, Lucas Ramos, Yannick Smith and Brendon Lagna.
The family will receive friends at the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 19.
