Lum Edward Sherlin, 76, died on Friday, March 19, 2010.

He was born in Chattanooga to the late John and Mandy Sherlin. Lum was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Sherlin; son, Johnny Sherlin; daughters, Yvonne Kilgore and Lisa Hagan.

Survivors include his children, Carl (Sherry) Sherlin, Nancy (David) Wynne, all of Rossville, Judy Simmons, of Chickamauga; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

His family will receive friends after 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, and all day Monday.

Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
