Police said a Red Bank woman was hospitalized after she was beaten by three people posing as census workers.
The attack by two men and a woman armed with pistols was Saturday morning off Knollwood Drive.
The three people used the ruse to talk their way into the woman's home.
She suffered lacerations to her face and head.
She and her boyfriend were tied up while the trio ransacked the house.
The robbers were traveling in a black, older-model Chevrolet Camaro.
