Dalton Police Search For Man With Stolen Credit Card Number

Monday, March 08, 2010

The Dalton Police Department is asking for help from the public in identifying a man who used a stolen credit card number to make hundreds of dollars’ worth of purchases at the Shugart Road Wal-Mart.

In late February, the Dalton Police Department was contacted by a victim from Ft. Myers, Fla. who said his credit card had been used without his consent at the Shugart Road Wal-Mart.

Police said a male suspect, possibly white or Hispanic with dark hair, was recorded using several cards to buy gift cards. Because the Ft. Myers victim is still in possession of his credit card, police said it’s possible that the suspect has cloned his card.

Pictures of the suspect and the truck in which he left the store are included below. If you have any information on the identity of this suspect, please contact Detective Jason Bishop at 706-278-9085, extension 214.

Thoughts On The Mathews Sentencing

It is not by coincidence I haven’t submitted an opinion piece in some time to the Chattanoogan.  The topics I cover are generally vitriolic in regards to local political decisions and their makers regarding public safety and I do not wish to associate my name with more noble subjects such as that of the heroic death and cowardly murder of Chattanooga Police Sergeant Tim Chapin, ...
