Good Friday Gospel Concert
Memorial Auditorium, Friday, April 2, 6:30 p.m.
Presented by Foster Promotions and featuring Gold City, the Kingsmen, the McKameys, and the Hymnsmen Reunion. Floor seats are reserved at $18.50, with a limited number of Artist Circle seats available at $22.50. Balcony seats are general admission at $10. The usual convenience fees apply. Comedian Rodney Carrington
Tivoli Theatre, Thursday, April 8, 7 p.m.
Rodney Carrington is a multi-talented comedian, actor, and writer who has recorded six major record label comedy albums selling over two million copies. Two of these albums have been certified gold by the RIAA. Rodney starred in his own TV sitcom "Rodney," which ran for two seasons on ABC. He recently co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the award-winning movie "Beer for My Horses." According to Pollstar, Rodney has been among the top ten grossing touring comedians for the last five years. He regularly performs to sold-out crowds across the US and Canada. CSO Pops: Hooray for Hollywood!
Tivoli Theatre, Saturday, April 10, 8 p.m.

Heart in Concert
Memorial Auditorium, Thursday, April 15, 7:30 p.m.
The rock supergroup Heart, fronted by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, creators of the hits "Crazy on You," "Barracuda," "These Dreams" and many more, include Memorial Auditorium on their latest national tour. CSO Masterworks: The Sea
Tivoli Theatre, Thursday-Friday, April 15-16, 8 p.m.
The season concludes with two odes to the majesty of the Sea. Debussy's La Mer is his most famous and popular work for orchestra and paints a glorious seascape in his unique style. Across the channel, Englishman Vaughan Williams' setting of the words of Walt Whitman for chorus and soloists is a deeply moving and incredibly beautiful homage. A fitting end to a wonderful season. Riverdance—The Farewell Tour

Lane Closures On MLK Boulevard Announced For Wednesday

The lanes in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard between University Street and Peeples Street will be closed periodically on Wednesday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Detours will be posted.  (click for more)

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

A Chattanooga man told police Monday night that he had just murdered his wife.  Police said Robert Lee Hardnett, 50. showed up at the County Jail to turn himself in at 8:40 p.m. He said his wife's body could be found at his place of employment, Power Supply Company, 1907 Daisy St.   Officers responded to that address and found the body of 34-year-old Elizabeth ... Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again

The four remaining members of the Red Bank Commission held a special called meeting on Tuesday and chose Kenneth Welch as the replacement for Vice Mayor Greg Jones, who moved to Alaska. At the same meeting, Commissioner Ruth Jeno announced she will not seek a new term. She urged the candidates who were not selected - Michael Tindle and Eddie Pierce - to run in the next election. ...
