After one year, The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store located at 1809 Battlefield Parkway in the BI-LO Plaza in Ft. Oglethorpe is expanding in order to make more furniture and clothing available to the community.
Mayor of Ft. Oglethorpe Ronnie Cobb will be joined by Salvation Army Advisory Board members Jack Samples, Leonard Fant, and Bill McCamy for the ribbon cutting ceremony of this new addition of the store on Saturday at 11 a.m.
An open house is scheduled from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. for the community to come and celebrate the expansion. Special door buster sales will be offered as a customer appreciation.
Material donations are also welcomed and can be brought to any of the local Family Thrift Stores.
