A Shelbyville man involved in a loan fraud has been sentenced to two years in federal prison.
Bradley Aydelott appeared before Judge Sandy Mattice in Chattanooga.
He and co-defendants in the case were ordered to make a combined $2,258,066 in restitution.
Prosecutor Gary Humble said the lost was approximately $2.3 million in the mortgage fraud involving hundreds of homes in the Shelbyville area.
He said the scheme involved the sale of houses by Roger Dwight Ritch's American Value Homes and it was necessary because Ritch's homes were not selling fast enough for a positive cash flow.
Proscutor Humble said the group frequently misrepresented the sales price to borrow more money than necessary to make the purchase.
He said Aydelott entered false statements on the loan applications. He received $400 for each of the false loans and estimated the received a total of about $100,000 from the false loans.
Aydelott estimated he received about $60,000 from loan overcharges.
