Linda Hall Announces For Chancery Court

Chattanooga attorney Linda B. Hall has announced her candidacy for Hamilton County Chancery Court to fill the position that was vacated by the retirement of Judge Howell Peoples on March 31.

She will be running for the Republican nomination which will be decided by a caucus on May 13.

Ms. Hall is a solo practitioner and her law office is in Soddy Daisy. She said she has spent her entire career working with the types of cases heard by Chancery Court. Those cases include: family law issues such as divorce, custody, and child support disputes; wills and estates; business disputes; and, property line disputes in addition to general litigation.



Ms. Hall is a graduate of The University of Tennessee College of Law and also has a bachelor of science in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She has been practicing law for over 10 years.

Ms. Hall said, “I am the only attorney in this race who has spent an entire career focused on family law and small business. It’s what I do every single day and it’s what sets me apart from others seeking this position."

She has named Certified Public Accountant Henry Hoss as her campaign treasurer.

A breakfast reception for Ms. Hall has been planned to take place April 29 from 7:30–8:30 a.m. at Wally’s Restaurant, 1600 McCallie Ave.


Dalton Police Seek Suspect In Motorcycle Theft

The Dalton Police Department is asking for help from the public in identifying a suspect in the April theft of a motorcycle from the parking lot of an area credit union. 2 Bondsmen Charged With Aggravated Assault In Trenton Shooting

Two Huckabee bondsmen have been charged with aggravated assault in a Thursday afternoon shooting in Trenton, discoverdade.com reported. Charged were David Coburn, 59, of Chattanooga, and William Cardin, 56, of Dalton, Ga. They were released on $10,000 bond.
