Cornerstone Community Bank Promotes Anthony Ray

Cornerstone Community Bank of Chattanooga announced the promotion of Anthony Ray to senior vice president and chief risk officer. His responsibilities in this capacity include identifying, evaluating and mitigating any risk to the bank; ensuring that the bank is in full compliance with all applicable regulations; assisting management in developing mitigation strategies for any identified risk; and reinforcing the internal control structure of bank operations.

A certified public accountant, Mr. Ray has worked in accounting for eight years and bank auditing for six years, the past three of which with Cornerstone Community Bank. He is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Mr. Ray is a cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting. He and his wife, Deborah, have four children and reside in the Ringgold area.

Prosecutors Asking Maximum Sentence For "Evil" Mother Of Jesse Mathews

Mark Phillips Was Victim In Fatal Hixson Pike Wreck

Mark Phillips, 54, was the victim in a fatal Hixson Pike wreck on Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Ford F150 that went out of control and struck the Phillips vehicle was 68-year-old Warren Elliott.
