Vision Hospitality's Doubletree Hotel Chattanooga has been presented the Environmental CARE Award by Doubletree Hotels.

In 2007, Doubletree Hotels awarded its first Environmental CARE Award. Award recipients are evaluated and selected on an annual basis from the brand's collection of 225 hotels worldwide. The Doubletree Environmental CARE Award is presented to one hotel that demonstrates an outstanding commitment to implementing and demonstrating sustainability and environmental outreach efforts that impact their guests as well as the local community.

"It is refreshing to work with a wonderful team of professional who understand and embrace sustainability and set a new benchmark for other hotels to achieve," said Bill Walp, director of brand performance - Doubletree.

Dobbin Callahan of SkyCon said, "The Doubletree exemplifies the intent and the spirit of Tennessee Green Lodging. Every time I have visited the Doubletree, Bill has shown me a new environmental idea that one of his team members has come up with. They have demonstrated how to sustain sustainability. It has been an honor and a pleasure to be involved with Bill and his team,"

Bill Mish, Doubletree Chattanooga general manager, said, "I am extremely proud of our team members and their commitment to reduce our carbon foot print in our community."

Mr. Walp and Thomas Wingham came to the Doubletree Hotel Chattanooga to present the award to Mr. Mish, Mitch Patel, president & CEO Vision Hospitality Group, and Aman Patel, executive vice president Vision Hospitality Group.

Mr. Patel said, "Vision Hospitality's sustainability efforts and practices are not limited to the Doubletree Hotel. Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. is continuing construction on our 135-room Hampton Inn & Suites (which will be LEED certified) located across 4th Street from the Doubletree.
