An armed robber got away with cash from the Life Way Christian Store at Hamilton Place.
A female clerk said a black male came in wearing a nylon mask and a red shirt. He also had on blue jean shorts and a white cap.
He showed the clerk a small silver pistol and said, "I have a gun and I will shoot you. Give me the money."
When the clerk did not immediately comply, he said, "You don't have much time. Give me the money."
The money from the cash register was placed in a black plastic garbage bag, then the man left in a newer-model black Chevrolet pickup truck.
A few minutes later, a second robbery occurred at 7307 Lee Highway at Family Dollar. The man entered the store, approached the register and said, “Give me all the money” as he displayed a pistol. After taking the money, he ran to the car wash next door where he had parked the same blue pickup truck.
The same man also robbed the Dollar General Stores at 4850 Hixson Pike and 7335 Lee Highway. Investigators were given vehicle information from witnesses and obtained photographs from surveillance video.

Daniel Clemons said he was stopped for a red light at Third and Willow and decided to spend the time transferring some cash from his pocket to his wallet.
A black male who was walking nearby took the opportunity to snatch $115 from his outstretched hand.
The theft victim tried to follow the thief in his vehicle, heading toward Memorial Hospital. But he lost him in a nearby neighborhood.

At Buddy's Home Furnishings on Highway 58, someone forced open the right side bay door, then pried open the door to the business.
The burglar took a 42" JVC TV and an Acer laptop computer, while breaking a table top glass piece.

Dorothy Woody of O'Grady Drive said someone stole her flagpole and American flag from her front yard. It was worth $100.
Earlier someone filched a decorative star over her garage. It was valued at $15.

Tina Harrison of South Crest Road was alerted by her ADT security system of a break-in.
Someone had damaged the front door by forcing it open. They exited through the basement.
It did not appear that anything was missing.

On Willow Trace, a man said he was in a disagreement with his girl friend over money. He said they were arguing in an upstairs bedroom when she grabbed a 9mm handgun.
He said she pointed it at him and pulled the trigger several times. But it was not loaded.
He said he retreated downstairs, then the girl friend appeared with the gun again - this time loaded. She fired at him twice, but missed.
Police found two 9mm spent shell casings on the kitchen floor.
A neighbor said he heard the gunfire.
Warrants were taken against the girl friend.

Kristie Foster of E. 49th Street said "Marvin" took $40 from her house.
She has no other info about "Marvin".

Police were dispatched to Signal Hills Drive to handle a squabble between neighbors.
Sheila Brock said she is in an ongoing feud with Tom Collins.
She believes he puts items in her yard and shoots a BB gun at her vehicle.
Mr. Collins said he has never been in her yard or damaged her vehicle.
He claimed that she uses narcotics and calls police without cause.
Police said they found no evidence of such crimes.
