The American Conservative Union once again designated Congressman Zach Wamp as an ACU conservative in recognition of his voting record, which demonstrates his commitment to America’s core principles and the nation’s constitution, officials said.
“This award is a reflection of Congressman Wamp’s consistent support of conservative principles on a wide range of issues of concern to grass roots conservatives in 2009. At a challenging time when the fundamental principles on which the American system of government are being challenged, Congressman Wamp stands with those who are trying to preserve those principles,” said David A.
Keene, chairman of the American Conservative Union.
Congressman Wamp had a 96 percent record last year and a nearly perfect conservative record over his 15 years of service. In 2003, he was only one of two Members of the U.S. House of Representatives to have received a 100 percent rating.
