It wasn't that long ago that Braves fans were moaning and groaning about their team. With their eight-game win streak, and 2 1/2 game lead, fans are singing a different tune.
I wish you could have been present with me to watch the rejuvenated Braves as they swept the "currently" hapless Phillies.
Wednesday's homestand finale turned into quite a pitcher's duel between Derek Lowe and Kyle Kendrick.
Who could have guessed the significance of Chipper leaving the game with an injured finger and being replaced by super-sub, Omar Infante? In the end, it was Infante's base hit that gave Atlanta the lead, and ultimately the win when Billy Wagner mowed down the Phillies in the bottom of the ninth.
Baseball is baseball. Yesterday, in the cellar; today on top. Tomorrow? We'll just wait and see what happens after the Braves play the Dodgers (4 games), the Diamondbacks (4 games) and the Twins (3 games). I'd be happy if we went 6-5 on the trip.
The photos below are a potpourri of shots from Atlanta's exciting 2-1 win Wednesday.
