A fire on Sunday night damaged a house in Dallas Bay.
Robert Jenkins received a call from his neighbor reporting his house was on fire at 1729 Thrasher Pike. He arrived home to find the fire department fighting the blaze.
The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department received the 911 call at 10:20 p.m. and responded to the scene within minutes, reporting heavy fire on the back side of the house.
No injuries were reported, but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries.
Mr. Jenkins said he put a load of clothes in the dryer and left to watch a movie at his parents' house.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Chief Marcus Fritts, of the Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, reported damages were around $45,000.
