The Home Builders Association is offering the EPA Certified Renovator class on Tuesday, July 27, at the Home Builders Association.
EPA requires firms doing remodeling or renovation projects disturbing more than six square feet of potentially contaminated painted surfaces for all homes, child care facilities, and schools built prior to 1978 to be certified. Along with the firm certification, an employee will also need to be certified as a Certified Renovator.
A person has to be enrolled in a certified renovator class by Sept. 30. The class is an eight-hour class with six hours of training and two hours of hands-on training.
