“God Provides” Series Continues At Middle Valley Church Of God

Saturday, July 24, 2010

Middle Valley Church of God announced that it will continue the “God Provides” series each Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Created by Crown Financial Ministries, “God Provides” is a DVD-based series "that offers a dramatic presentation of how God provides for His people. This stirring series is designed to direct Christians to the reality that they can trust God to provide all their needs and that He wishes to be their Provider."

“God Provides” will be facilitated by Pastor Mitch McClure in the Administrative Office classroom each Wednesday at 7 p.m. In addition to the DVD-based presentation, Pastor McClure will offer practical suggestions as to how Christians can apply the principles of the Bible in their everyday life.

Pastor McClure said, “I am thankful to Crown for providing such a high quality resource to the church. Christians struggle daily with the pressures of having their needs met. In difficult economic seasons, the church must provide resources that demonstrate the ability of God to provide all we need. This series should stir us to trust God in an even greater manner. We invite the community to participate in this great opportunity.”

Middle Valley Church of God is located at 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson.

Thoughts On The Mathews Sentencing

It is not by coincidence I haven’t submitted an opinion piece in some time to the Chattanoogan.  The topics I cover are generally vitriolic in regards to local political decisions and their makers regarding public safety and I do not wish to associate my name with more noble subjects such as that of the heroic death and cowardly murder of Chattanooga Police Sergeant Tim Chapin, ... Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt. Chapin would have wanted.  He was a protector and sacrificed his life so the rest of ... (click for more)
