Two armed robbers stole $100 and a television from a Chattanooga home Tuesday morning after pointing guns at the home's occupants. Shots were exchanged just after the incident.
Chattanooga Police responded to 6211 Pine Marr Drive around 5:20 Tuesday morning after receiving several calls of shots fired and one on a residential robbery.
Responding officers were told by victims Sandra Ogle and Robert Boyle that they were awakened by the presence of a black male suspect in their bedroom. The robber pointed a gun at Mr. Boyle and made the pair get up. A second suspect went to another bedroom and had the occupants there get up as well.
All of the victims were taken into the living room of the home where they watched the suspects take a television and $100 in cash before leaving the home.
Mr. Boyle admitted to chasing the suspects down the street where they got into a waiting vehicle. At some point, there was an exchange of gunfire, as shell casings were found outside the home. Police are still looking into who exchanged gunfire in this incident as no one in the home admitted to shooting.
The suspects in the incident are described as two black males in their twenties. One is said to have shoulder-length dreadlocks and was wearing a yellow shirt while the other was wearing a green shirt.
Investigators are following suspect leads in the case, and no arrests have been made.
