Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s Adult Education Program announced fall enrollment at the Glenwood Center August 2-5 between 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. New or returning students should come in for registration.
Classes will begin on August 9 and will meet Monday through Friday. The program’s intent is to provide instruction in basic education skills, preparation for the Work Keys Assessments, and preparation for the General Educational Development Test (GED). There is no tuition fee for adults interested in furthering their education.
Participants should be 18 years of age and out of school. Underage youth between the ages of 16-17 may apply for special permission.
The Glenwood Center is a joint project of Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) and the Floyd County Board of Education to bring adult education services to the northern part of Floyd County, and is located adjacent to the campus of the Glenwood Primary School in the Armuchee community. It was initiated with equipment funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission.
