Zuddhi Yoga founder and teacher, Jessica Ewart, alongside co-teacher, Maggie White, will be leading local yogis in a Yoga On Water class on Saturdays at Greenway Farm in Hixson beginning Saturday.

There are three class times available each Saturday: 11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m., 12:45-2 p.m. and 2:15-3:30 p.m.

Paddle boarding originated in the islands of Hawaii. The sport has seen a huge surge in popularity in the last few years. Zuddhi Yoga has teamed up with local board company, SUP Paddleboard, to offer outdoors enthusiasts a one of a kind yoga class.

Participants will advance their yoga practice and improve their balance as they move through a 75 minute series of fun postures guided by a certified yoga teacher, officials said.

Classes are open to the public and cost $25 per person for one class or $20 if more than one class is purchased. Due to limited space, pre-registration and payment is required. Online registration is available at www.zuddhiyoga.com. Call 413-0392 for more information.

According to Jessica Ewart, “It only takes a few minutes to become acclimated to the long board and paddle. We will warm the body and activate the core with some paddling before we settle into an innovative sequence on the board. This class is appropriate for anyone who is interested in learning more about yoga or paddle boarding. Beginners are welcome.

We Are Blessed To Have Ron Littlefield As Our Mayor - And Response (3)

Chattanooga is blessed beyond measure to have Ron Littlefield as our mayor.  It is a total travesty our city has had to endure the long frivolous battle with absolutely  no foundation other than disagreement with policy issues.  It has always been a vendetta directed personally at Mayor Littlefield which, if the "interveners" decide to appeal, will be a proven fact.   ...
