Pilates In Motion will host an open
house Sept. 8-11.
Visitors are welcome to tour the studio, meet the instructors, and try
out the equipment, which is based on designs of Pilates founder,
Joseph Pilates. Visitors can also enter a drawing to win prizes
including a free private session with one of the instructors.
The new location, at 1320 Dodds Ave, is a 1930’s bungalow and has the
feel of the original studio of Joseph Pilates. Pilates In Motion offers small class sizes and emphasizes building a strong core while lengthening and strengthening muscles.
Founder Ann Law, who was trained by Joseph Pilates disciple Romana
Kryzanowska, opened the first Pilates studio in Chattanooga, Pilates
at Barking Legs, in 2000. It is now called Pilates in Motion.
The Pilates In Motion Open House will be Sept. 8–10 from 3-7 p.m. and Sept. 11 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
