The Home Builders Association is offering the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certified Renovator course on Sept. 15 at the Home Builders Association.
The EPA requires firms doing remodeling or renovation projects disturbing more than six square feet of potentially contaminated painted surfaces for all homes, child care facilities, and schools built prior to 1978 to be certified. Along with firm certification, an employee will also need to be certified as a Certified Renovator.
The EPA requires you to be signed up for the course by Sept. 30.
The training curriculum is an eight hour class with 6 hours of training and two hours of hands-on training.
