Gunnoe, Dixie Mae Epperson (Cleveland)

Dixie Mae Epperson Gunnoe, 65, of Cleveland, Tn., died on Friday, Aug. 27, 2010 in a local hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rachel Rohrig Epperson and Maynard Epperson; brothers, Bob Epperson, Max Epperson and Ray Epperson; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Gunnoe lived some of her life in West Virginia but most of it in Bradley County with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, and working outdoors. She was a member of Cookson Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gunnoe is survived by her husband, Lee Gunnoe of Cleveland; daughters, Janice Galligan and her husband Lawrence of Old Fort and Jennifer Thomas and her husband Jeff of Cleveland; sons, Jeffery Gunnoe and his wife Tina of Benton, Tracy Gunnoe of Cleveland, Joseph Gunnoe and his wife Ruby of Cisco, Ga., Jamie Gunnoe and his wife Melinda of Old Fort and John Gunnoe and his wife Teresa of Old Fort; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Emma Calhoun of Cleveland, Gloria Martin and her husband Harold of Cleveland and Gail Wilson and her husband D.L. of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life Services will be Sunday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m. from the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend Mike Rymer and Reverend Rick Woody officiating. Interment will follow in the Cookson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28 at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of arrangements.

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again
